The Conqueror is a novel written by Georgette Heyer. It is based on the life of William the Conqueror. Plot summary. It chronicles the life of William of Normandy (the Conqueror) from his birth in to his conquest of England in Born the illegitimate son of Robert, future Duke of Normandy, William has to fight to prove himself in the Author: Georgette Heyer.   Part 2: Sword Bearer; Part 3: Gaal the Conqueror; Part 4: Tower of Geburah; Part 5: Iron Sceptre; Part 6: Quest for the King; Part 7: Dark Lord’s Demise. The Archives of Anthropos by John White is an admitted ripoff of the Narnia series that he wrote for his kids. I don’t think he wrote much, if any other, fiction. And this particular John White is a British-born Canadian pastor.

When young Eleanor MacFarland runs away from her home one winter night, John Wilson tries to find ed by: The Tower of Geburah. Gaal the Conqueror is an amazing book. It is an allegory that is very creatively written. The part about Gaal on the altar represents that Jesus died for us on the cross and the wine of free pardon is amazingly like the unconditional forgivess of the Lord Jesus.

I recommend the entire Archives of Anthropos series to any fantasy buff or Narnia fan/5(4). Eleanor McFarland and John Wilson join Gaal, the Son of the High Emperor, in a battle to thwart the evil plans of Lord Lunacy.

Lewis Gold Medal award. Eleanor McFarland and John Wilson join Gaal, the Son of the High Emperor. Anyway, Gaal the Conqueror. ‘Gaal’ is apparently the Hebrew word for ‘shepherd,’ and that in a nutshell is the kind of allegory we have here: so obvious that it barely counts as allegory.

Fortunately the entire book isn’t made up of this, but hot damn is it. "Gaal the Conqueror," like "The Sword Bearer," features the Changer in the role of God and Lord Lunacy as Satan. A new figure on the scene is the messiah, Gaal, who shocks John by claiming to be one with the Changer, and features in some scenes which portray his sacrifice, conquest of death, and the power to redeem and change servants of Lunacy.

The Archives of Anthropos book series by multiple authors includes books The Sword Bearer (The Archives of Anthropos, Book 1), Gaal the Conqueror: The Archives of Anthropos (Book 2), The Tower of Geburah, and several more. See the complete Archives of Anthropos series book list in order, box sets or omnibus editions, and companion titles.

As with the other books in John White's Archives of Anthropos, The Iron Sceptre, The Sword Bearer, and Gaal the Conqueror, this book will delight young and old alike.
